“You can’t compete where you can’t compare”

There is a beef between these chain restaurants.

Applebee’s and Chili’s are battling it out on social media over which restaurant value meal is better.

Last month, Applebee’s launched the $9.99 Really Big Meal Deal, which gives customers the choice of a Big Cluckin’ or Big Classic Bacon Cheeseburger as an entrée along with classic fries and a fountain drink.

Chili’s, on the other hand, is home to the $10.99 “3 for Me” deal, which includes the customer’s choice of an appetizer, entree and drink.

The fight started when Applebee’s posted on X implying that its deal is better because it’s cheaper.

“$9.99 Really Big Meal Offer >>>>> that other $10.99 offer,” the restaurant chain wrote Dec. 6 on X.

Although Applebee’s didn’t explicitly mention Chili’s, he took the hint and hit them with a response, saying, “@see you next time…”

Chili’s added: “Remember, our 3 for $10.99 comes with unlimited drinks, UNLIMITED chips and salsa, and a Big Smasher with chips. You all literally never can.”

Most users on the platform seemed to side with Chili’s, responding in support of the restaurant.

“Just $1 more to avoid Applebees is priceless,” one person wrote.

“Cheaper doesn’t always mean better,” said another.

Chili’s even responded to some fan responses, further fanning the flames.

One user said, “They could never do what Chili’s Triple Dipper has done for me,” to which the chain replied, “Never ever!”

“You can’t compete where you can’t compare,” read another response from Chili.

However, when one person called out that “the girls are fighting”, the restaurant insisted they were “just chatting”.

In a statement, Chili’s chief marketing officer George Felix told CNN that “it’s no secret that we like to have a little fun on our social channels, and we’re extremely passionate about making sure our guests really get the most value.” good at casual dining.”

Applebee’s and Chili’s are just two of the many restaurant chains that have rolled out discounted food deals to keep customers coming amid inflation.
