Global cases of roof fever are increasing, says centers for disease control and prevention (CDC) – and is the warning of an attack on US travelers.

The agency issued a health alarm network counseling on March 18, noting that the activity of the deng and the broadcast “remain high” in some parts of the US and globally, including the American territories of Puerto Rico and the US virgin islands.

“Spring and Summer’s journey coincide with the peak season for denga in many countries, increasing the risk of both travel -related and acquired cases in the United States,” CDC wrote.

The CDC has recorded the fever of the deng as a level 1 health alarm, asking the public to “practice common precautions”.

This involves avoiding mosquito bites using an EPA -registered insect, wearing long -sleeved shirts and long pants when out, and sleeping in a room that has air conditioning or displayed windows.

Many countries have reported a “higher than usual” number of roof cases in 2024 and 2025, noted CDC.

The following countries have also reported a higher number than the cases of dubs were expected among American travelers returning to American soil: Brazil, Burkina Faso, Colombia, Cuba, Ecuador, Fiji, French Polynesia, Guatemala, Iran, Mexico, Pakistan, Panama, Saint Lucia and Sudan.

In 2024, more than 13 million cases were reported in the north, central and South America, as well as in the Caribbean.

There is currently no medicine to treat Denga, according to CDC.

Infected people are advised to rest, take acetaminophen for pain and fever, stay hydrated and see a doctor.

There is a vaccine available for us children between the ages of 9 and 16, who have previously tested positively for the deng and are living in areas where the infection is common.
