“Our hearts have been completely destroyed,” Brooklyn announced in an Instagram post in November 2024, a few days after her baby’s devastating death. “Our little little boy did not do it.”
Brooklyn has a 3-year-old son and previously suffered an abortion in December 2023.
She has shared knowledge of her grief over the past few months as she has elaborated her emotions, and is mostly comforted by people’s responses to sad news.
However, the reaction of a brand to news of the passage of her child “absolutely disgusting” family.
The happiest baby
Brooklyn’s sister, McKenna Bangert, another creator of family -centered content, showed that the happiest brand of the baby “asked” to return Brooklyn $ 1,700 Snoo Smart Bassins they had donated because she would no longer be able to create contents using it as promised.
“I want you to think about why she couldn’t give the content,” Bangerter wrote in an Instagram story since year on Instagram. “I am absolutely disgusted by a children’s brand that promotes support for mothers and babies – it does not even have the determination to give it the space to grieve the bassines it never took to fill.”
In comparison, she said other brands have treated her sister with “Grace & Empathy and not as a transaction”.
As the story spread, other mother’s influencers, Alumni “Sytycd” and other social media users, have continued to express their anger at the company’s behavior leaving comments on the happiest baby media accounts and insisting others to stop shopping from the store.

Bangerter shared a video of herself by sharing Snoo Bassins, claiming she would donate her to a women’s shelter.
As the reaction continues, the happiest baby apologized to the family and those bored of the situation.
“When we learned about Rocky’s passing in December, we were angry about Brooklyn and her family. We immediately sent our sincere flowers and condolences, and there was no mention of anything else. We just wanted to know we were thinking about it,” the statement said. “Out of respect for its privacy, we communicated directly to Brooklyn’s manager (not Brooklyn himself).”

“We know that many parents who suffer such an unimaginable and tragic loss often reveal that the appearance of an empty bassines or cribs can become a painful memory of their grief – and parents want to remove it – so we offered her SNOO to get,” the company continued.
In the statement, the company said the response was “based on what other sad families had asked in the past” and that “the content was of no importance in this decision and was never mentioned”.
They also added that they have reached Brooklyn directly and took action for team members to better handle the process of grief of each family.

“This is not a representative of who we are. It is not what we believe or do not stand,” continued statements from the happiest baby.
“We are a small company whose only mission is to support families, especially during their most vulnerable moments. We are very sorry that Brooklyn’s experience did not reflect the care and compassion we try to show every family. We hope that a person’s mistakes do not overdo the hearts and efforts of a whole team of loving.”
The happiest baby was founded in 2015 by Dr. Harvey Karp, a pediatrician and children’s development specialist, and his wife, Nina Montée-Karp. The brand is best known for sleep solutions and its method “5 S – Swaddling, Shushing, swinging, suction and side position – which has become standard practice and the first smart sleeping bass in the world, which uses soft swinging movements and white noise to imitate the soothing effects of being on the abdomen.
